Season 2007 - a new challenge

As in many other sports there are 2 World Tours in the sport of Kiteboarding. If this is good or bad for the sport we will find out sooner or later, at the moment this situation brings many possibilities and development in different directions - quite interesting really.

After I had been competing in the PKRA tour for the past 4 years and had reached my goals with becoming 2 times Freestyle World Champion I decided to switch to the KPWT tour in 2007. As the PKRA Tour is mainly focused on freestyle it was very interesting for me to compete in the KPWT. There they focus on the 3 disciplines Freestyle, Wave, Course Racing and also on the Overall ranking for all of them together. With this new Challenge and the sudden variety of competing I gained a new motivation for competitions and am really enjoy to show people what our beautiful sport really is about.
