Cook Islands, Voting and DVD Production

Well, well... it is not always easy to keep a blog updated if you are traveling around the world and are busy with other things too.. You have not heared from me in 3 weeks now... But at least now you get a whole bunch of updates!

1. The CMIO (Cindy Mosey Island Odyssey) took place in the cook islands this year. Does Rarotonga sound fancy? Well, it was one of the nices places I have ever been to and I really enjoyed the trip! We had lots of wind and a very successful event... but I am not alowed to say too much yet as the magazines want to be the first ones to publish story and pictures of this amazig "only girls" event... so watch out for the next mag in your country and our article! 

 

2.I discovered that I was selected as a nominee for the "Kitesurfer of the Year" in Germany! I was super stoked to hear that... but will now need many votes in order to be able to win this "Election". I will be happy about every vote at: http://www.actionsportsawards.de/Kitesurfen.htm And I know, I know... it is all in German.. but I am sure you can figure it out! ;)

 

3. The instructional DVD we have been filming in Egypt a few weeks ago now also needed some voice overs... So after the Cook Islands I spent a few days behind my Computer in Germany, writing about 40 pages of text that makes sense for people that want to learn new moves. The highlight of it all were the 8 straight hours in the voice studio in Berlin... hard work, but great experience too! Well, sorry, but the DVD will be out in German first... but will be available in English in the beginning of 2009 too... 

 

And because time is running like crazy I am now in Egypt already... The last competition of the year will be starting here in Essaouira tomorrow and I will keep you posted about the results...
