Overall World Champion 2007

Kristin Boese returned from the last World Cup of the year in New Caledonia with more than only one big success. In the last event of 2007 she secured the "overall world champion title" as well as the "wave world title" an the "course race world title" for this year.

After a exciting season 2007 with a total of 7 World Cup competitions was the lastevent of the year going to be an even more exciting one. Only a few points seperatedAinoha Garcia from Spain and Kristin Boese from Germany in the overall ranking.With the spanish girl in the lead Kristin Boese would have to shine with a good perfomances if she would want to win. And so she did. With a victory in the discipline freestyle as well as in the course race she managed to win enough points to overtake Ainoha Garcia in the score.

"The relieve is huge. I was really nervouse as Ainoha and I were so close in the ranking. Now I am super happy with the result and will celebrate the victory with my family as soon as I get back home!"

With the World Champion title in Boardercross that she won in August alredy, Kristin Boese can be happy about World Championship titles in 4 different disziplines in the season 2007 - a very successfull year.
