The Palmolive Kitesurf World Cup saw fantastic freestyle finals on Saturday 24 July.
At wind force 6 the kings of the air pulled all the strings and delighted their fans with unbelievable jumps and terrific maneuvres on the beach of Sankt Peter Ording.
In a breathtaking final heat Alex Pastor from Spain won against Andy Yates from Australia and his first title in S.P.O. And it was Gisela Pulido from Spain who triumphed and won the Palmolive Kitesurf World Cup for the second time.
Also the German athletes presented a super show. Above all nine-fold world champion Kristin Boese showes sensational jumps and moves and finally was placed fourth in the discipline Freestyle which she does not even train for anymore. Five times she had to go onto the water and among others she was able do beat Angela Peral from Spain who is number four in the world ranking list. But after three and a half hours her strenght failed. She lost a heat against Karolina Winkowska from Poland and was exhausted, but really happy about her best freestyle result since she switched over the disciplines course racing and wave riding.
Mario Rodwald from Rendsburg and Stefan Permian from Kiel made it among the Top Ten.
The Palmolive Kitesurf World Cup ends on Sunday. It can be seen as one of the biggest Kitesurf events world-wide.
