TAMPA: The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) just held a 2012 Olympic equipment and format trials last week to evaluate kiteboarding for the Olympic Games and now the sport gets a glowing endorsement from two key ambassadors.
Sir Richard Branson, known for his Virgin Group conglomerate of companies, also owns a stunning resort in the Caribbean called Necker Island and regularly kiteboards there and hosts the BVI Kite Jam annual event. Branson is personally an avid supporter of kiteboarding and has spoken out often to back it on the Olympic programme.
